Bio: A. Laith Portier is a Muslim screenwriter and poet from Louisiana whose first feature film, "Beware the Boxfolk," is currently in post-production. While written and spoken word storytelling have been their passion for the better part of a decade, their vocations have been in education and advocacy, currently working as a library professional while collecting clothes for their unhoused neighbors.
