I’m a writer of novels, short stories, travel pieces, and literary criticism. My short stories and travel writing have appeared in venues such as the Los Angeles Review of Books, Cimarron Review, and Wisconsin Review. I’ve also published six books of literary and cultural criticism, as well as numerous scholarly essays.
