I am a 20 year old paraeducator from the Kansas City area. After my senior year of highschool was abruptly interrupted by a sudden pandemic and quarantine, I began to binge read several series of books, and eventually returned to writing short stories, as I had been doing in my Creative Writing classes before my school closed for the year in early March. After graduation, or rather our closest approximation, I found myself wandering through life for a year. I was trying to navigate a dangerous and uncertain world with a crippling immune deficiency, effectively keeping me indoors.
