I am a high school special education teacher who has always used poetry as an outlet. I love nature and composing poems that evoke a sense of self/longing. I think for me, poetry is a way to express my thoughts/feelings in a manner that I am not always able to express through my speaking voice. Any aspect of art is a way to unveil my soul. In some ways, it has been my own form of self-healing. That through the darkness, light can emerge.
I currently reside in a small town in Vermont with my husband and three children. I tend to photograph picturesque scenes that I then turn into art and poems. My family is supportive of my artistic endeavors and recognize that art is a huge part of who I am.
