I'm sixty-seven and retired.
I spent my life repairing wrecked vehicles. I'm also a big do-it-yourself person: lots of hobbies and projects.
As far as writing goes, I've been writing short stories for about forty-five years. All science fiction. I discovered at the age of forty that I could write poetry.
In the literal sense, I learned English in my mid forties. That from books like Barron's Books. As the years passed, a lot from the Internet.
Also, in the literal sense, I could not have an intelligent conversation about, say, punctuation, with a teenager in high school.
But I do pretty good at proofing my own work.
I am also a very big reader. That helps me in many ways concerning my writing and if it has any merit.
There's a lot to be said when it comes down to good writing and its value. There is much more to be said concerning the imagination and where it leads.
I'm open for conversations on writing.
