Sean Watson has the unique story of going from basically illiterate out of high school to learning to read at the age of nineteen. He served as a missionary in Sao Paulo, Brazil, came back with PTSD, and went through a rapid transformation that included entering BYU, serving a redemptive internship to Manaus, Brazil, and studying abroad at the University of Cambridge. He was published by and won the popular vote in Wilderness Interface Zone's Spring poetry contest, and was admitted into a masters program in Oxford.
