Tolbert is a queer writer and poet that has been crafting poems since they were a teenager. Divorce, death of their grandfather, and moving back into their parent's house with their three children put writing on the backburner for a decade. Tolbert came through this decade encouraged by friends and family, inspired by poets who have been through similar experiences, motivated by advocates and activists who use their art to be a voice for change, and ready to return to their bliss--to encourage, inspire, motivate, and share their art and voice in hopes it will impact their readers.
