Fiction writer. Produced two novel-length manuscripts: Ordeal by Fire (historical fiction, Renaissance Italy) and The Silent Cafe' (contemporary, deaf culture). An excerpt of The Silent Cafe won Finalist honors in the Hidden River Arts Fiction Contests. Short stories have received Honorable Mentions from the Dana Awards for the Literary Novel and Negative Capability's Fiction contest. An excerpt of Ordeal by Fire received a semi-finalist notation in the Heekin Group Fiction Fellowship Program.
