Alexander Perez resides in a region the Mohawk call skahnéhtati (The Place Beyond the Pines), now known as Schenectady, NY. He began writing poetry in spring 2022 at age forty-eight, and his poems have now been accepted for publication in Oyster River Pages, RFD Magazine, Doubly Mad, The Blue Unicorn, Home Planet News, South Florida Poetry Review, Queer Toronto Literary Magazine, The Awakenings Review, and elsewhere. The Poetry Barn and Arts Society of Kingston selected his poetry to appear in a gallery exhibit entitled “Poetic License 2022.†In addition, he has a chapbook entitled Immortal Jellyfish forthcoming from Finishing Line Press in 2023.
