Alex loves the snow, cold water, large bears that don't claw at humans, and more. He teaches composition and poetry for the Community College of Qatar. He also translates Arabic poetry, a language he has no ethnic nor family connection to; he decided to translate it because he finds the sounds of the language beautiful. Poetry and loving his partner are what keep him going.
