Amalia Negreponti is a writer and first-generation immigrant, now living in New York. Prior to emigrating to the US, she worked as a journalist and diplomatic correspondent for a variety of media, including the BBC, La Regle du Jeu, the HuffPost, Ta Nea. She has been honored to receive a Young Leaders Marshall Memorial Fellowship, and participates in various policy fora, including The Aspen Institute, the AJC's Project Interchange, Track II diplomacy.
She has published three books in French and Greek (contemporary history; creative nonfiction; philosophy) and is now working exclusively in English, on a series of poems about cultural and emotional integration in first generation immigrants.
She is a contributor to the Los Angeles Review of Books.
