DAVID ROTHGERY (davidrothgery)

I am a semi-retired English professor (four Oregon colleges and universities) who now devotes most of his time to writing novels, short stories, and essays—some of which I started years ago. I live in Beaverton (suburb of Portland). In my writing, I draw upon my living and teaching (secondary and higher education) in the United States, Nigeria, Kenya, and Micronesia, and on my travels to Africa, Europe, and Central America. In 2014, I indie-published a philosophical novel about a homeless schizophrenic single mother who lives in two worlds (Silkie: World One, World Two), but I did not make a serious attempt to market it.In 2019, I finished a second novel, Little Mozarts, Little Kings, set primarily in Freedom Summer Mississippi 1964, but I did not publish it. At the present time I am working on a collection of short stories entitled Quiet Talk from a Mute Sky. David Rothgery
