Deauwand Myers, currently an English professor and Pedagogical Curriculum Adviser a university near Seoul, Korea, is a graduate and Williams Scholar and Lodwick C. Hartley Scholar of Furman University. He holds a master’s degree, with honors, in English literature and literary critical theory (specializing in Lacanian psychoanalysis) from the Graduate School of English at the University of Vermont.
At the University of Vermont, he was also awarded the Graduate Teaching Fellowship and served as a Graduate Teaching Fellow, and was recipient of the Opportunity Fellowship, given to scholarly minorities pursuing graduate study.
