Eric Morris-Pusey (edmorris)

I am a student of creative writing and philosophy studying and working at Randolph College, a small private school in Lynchburg, VA. I am happily torn between poetry and fiction, and am currently working on the final drafts of a literary crime novel while shopping my stories and poems around to magazines. My work is concerned with motion and emotion, and the emotion involved with motion, with the inevitable changes this life tosses our way, with the strange loves and hates we find ourselves thrust into feeling, with the darkness at the core of the human experience and the beautiful hope at the core of the human soul. We are all in conflict, in flux, and it through this flux that progress is made. However, it is also through this that we come to know loss, death, rejection - my work seeks to explore the multiplicity of the human relationship with change, and not to overly simplify it or paint it in binaries.
