The author holds a Masters Degree from Iowa State University in English Literature and Creative Writing; also a Masters Degree in Social Work from SMU. He is recently retired from twenty years as a licensed clinician in substance abuse treatment. Many of his clients were referrals from courts, jails, prisons, probation, parole.
