Feliz Moreno was born and raised in the Sacramento metropolitan area and comes from a family of farm workers based out of the Central Valley of California. She earned her undergraduate degree in English at Santa Clara University. Post-graduation she worked in the marketing and advertising industries for various news organizations before returning to the Bay Area (and the Jesuits) to pursue her MFA in Creative Writing at the University of San Francisco. She is currently working on her thesis, a set of historically-based fiction stories, and plans to graduate in December 2018. She lives in Berkeley, California and is a dog walker by day.
