I have been writing poetry since my days in college. I am now a grandfather. I spent my professional career as a familyl and individual therapist. Throughout I have done a lot of personal work to enhance my growth. Because of this work, I was professionally more able to help others . Much of this internal work included filling over forty personal dream journals over the past twenty five years. The work of interpreting these dreams included sharing them with peers as a type of peer consultation. I can still vividly remember my recurring dreams of terror when I was 5 and 6 years old.
In the last five years I have become more prolific in writing poetry. Many of my poems may be introduced with a kind of origin story. I believe it is helpful to the reader to have a pre-existing history or the pre-kindling experience within the poet that helped give birth to a particular poem. I call this the poem's "ontological history" (from whence it came")
