Imani Sims, has been writing for most of her life. At the age of 8 she wrote her first short story about a mini elephant that didn't quite fit in with the rest of the jungle animals. Later in life, she chose performance poetry as her genre of choice. She has been recently published in Bitterroot Review Literary Magazine and in Adrienne, a Queer Women's journal published by Sibling Rivalry Press. Additionally, she just released a new collection of poems entitled Beloved:Collision.
