JENYA KREIN was born in Leningrad, Russia, and immigrated to the United States in 1988. Since 1989, she has been residing with her family in the Boston area. Jenya is a bilingual author fiction writer, poet, translator, and essayist. She is a member of the American PEN Club. Her short stories have appeared in the Russian language literary magazines and in a number of web-based literary journals. Jenya received her Bachelor’s degree in Human Services from UMASS Boston. Her formal education in the field of literature began with a fellowship to study at the 2010 Summer Literary Seminars at Concordia University (Montreal, Canada). In the summer of 2013 she attended Yale University’s Writers Conference and studied with Hope Dellon of St. Martin’s Press at the Historical Novel Seminar. Currently, she is pursuing her MFA degree in Creative Writing from University of Tampa.
