Jessie Foley is an English teacher in the Chicago public school system and holds an MFA in fiction writing from Columbia College. Her work has appeared in the Madison Review, Chicago Reader, McSweeney's, Word Riot, Hypertext, Writer's Digest, Hair Trigger, the Great Lakes Cultural Review, and several other local publications. She grew up on the Northwest Side of Chicago, where she still lives with her husband. She writes a blog for ChicagoNow.com called Dispatches from the Northwest Side.
