I have been writing poetry and short stories for as long as I can remember, but I am largely an amateur writer, having only been published in blogs and one professional journal, English Journal, The Publication of the National Council of Teachers of English. I have been featured on blogs such as AFineParent.com, AMadisonMom.com, and Medium.com.
After graduating from The College of William & Mary in Virginia, I became a teacher instead of a full-time writer and have spent most of the last two decades teaching writing to the public school students of New Jersey. Having secured both my personal and professional identities, I have been writing prolifically over the last few years, including the above-mentioned articles, as well as novels and children's books.
