As an opera singer, Kameryn studies poetry everyday. She has been writing ever since she was a child but has only recently begun to submit her works for review and competitions. She grew up in Central Louisiana, attended college at Louisiana College, and earned her Masters at Bard College Conservatory under the direction of Dawn Upshaw. In school and in her career, Kameryn was taught and believes that poetry is the most important aspect of what she does as a performer. Words have always intrigued her, and her love for other languages is even more fuel. She hopes that her poetry as well as her music will bring healing to those who read and listen.
