After a 30-year career as a teacher of high school English and dramatic arts in Maine and Maryland, I recently retired after 10 years as an archivist at the Tennessee State Library & Archives. I have recently begun to specialize in African American history and other non-fiction writing, and I carried out all the research and writing on the website listed below (as Personal), which is now part of the Tennessee state web. My poetry has been published in The Lost Coast Review, Parnassus, Potato Eyes, Tinderbox, The Northern New England Review, and Inward Light, and I am a frequent contributor to the Tennessee Conservationist.
