I'm interested in writing stories that examine the fundamental elements of human nature and how different environmental or social variables interact with those elements. An example, If I were to write a story about a Martian colony I'd be more interested in exploring the elements of loneliness, isolation, and the burden of a new beginning than I would be of writing about the fantastic science and technology involved.
