I'm a San Francisco-based writer and copyeditor. I grew up in Tampa, Florida and attribute my upbringing in America’s weirdest state to my interest in ecological, surreal, and sometimes Gothic fiction. I earned my MFA in creative writing at American University and recently attended the Bread Loaf Environmental Writers' Conference for Fiction, where I workshopped with Luis Alberto Urrea. When I'm not writing, you’ll probably find me daydreaming in Golden Gate Park, rabble-rousing at a demonstration, or stalking Percy Bysshe Shelley.
