I am a 17-year old NYU freshman studying "creative writing as a means to affect social change with a lens on gender and sexuality studies" (School of Individualized Study). I hope one day to be a professional writer, and am working as hard as I can to get my work out there and to interact with other writers to make that happen. Most of my past writing is poetry, but I'm trying to write a lot more prose. I also am fairly involved in slam poetry, or performance poetry, which is an interesting side of the craft.
