After raising a family, I am now a senior citizen and a retired Registered Nurse who spent many years working in diverse fields of Nursing. There was never a day I did not want to care for patients and was privileged to care for people of all ages from many different cultures, backgrounds and walks of life. I have been writing poetry and non-fiction prose since age five. In my career I wrote for professional Nursing Journals as well as served as editor of several Nursing newsletters. Now in retirement, I still continue to spend much of my time writing. I have written two non-fiction books entitled “I Thought There Was a Road There†(2000) and “Separated Lives†(2015) while my additional hobbies have been reading, rock hunting and genealogy. My last position before retirement was a Nurse/Writer which I treasured since this combined both of my passions…..Nursing and Writing.
