I'm an 84-year-old poet who wrote her first verse about 1950. I take part in two online critique groups and read submissions for the journal Third Wednesday. My religion or philosophy is Ethical Culture (humanism) and I serve on the board of the Ethical Society of Austin, TX, also on the Board of my HOA. Various journals and anthologies have accepted about 85 of my poems so far, and I have both a book ms. and a chapbook that I update and submit from time to time--no luck so far, just a couple of shortlists. Apart from that, I knit, cook, and mow my yard. Greetings from scenic Pflugerville, TX, where it's hotter than hell and likely to stay that way for two more months.
