Michaella Henry (michaellahenry)

Michaella Henry is a neurodivergent emerging writer, poet, first-generation Haitian/ Jamaican American, and recovering gifted child. At Wellesley College, her creative writing won several prizes. A decade of solo moves and learning French and Arabic rendered Michaella a culturally confused but attentive world builder in fiction. She’s currently crafting a poetry collection on trauma and a short story collection on resilient, under-represented adolescents. Michaella also enjoys designing software, coding websites, and training her slothful support dog, Zazu. Though she won her first $500 poetry contest at age eight, her greatest life accomplishment is defeating five years of chronic back pain. Find her at www.michaellahenry.com.
