Naomi is an educator, writer, poet recently turned singer-songwriter. She performs the music of her daughter, Ellen Bindman-Hicks who lost her life at the age of 17. Naomi’s goal is to keep Ellen’s music and spirit present, she considers what she is doing a collaboration with her daughter. She celebrates Ellen’s life, shares stories, and brings joy and humor to her performances. Recently Naomi has begun to perform some of her own songs and poetry as well. Naomi is in the process of writing a memoir of her life that interweaves poems, personal essays, journal entries, and song lyrics with the narrative.
