I write fiction and nonfiction, and occasionally poetry. My current WIP is a novel that may end up as literary fiction, memoir, Bildungsroman, philosophical novel, or personal essay once it is complete. Here's a synopsis:
After his family moves from the city to the backwoods of northern Minnesota, a young boy struggles to find his voice so he can fit in at school and feel loved at home; but his shyness and introverted personality, and certain limitations of his parents, means he not only has many internal and external obstacles, but he is alone in his quest, with no guide but his own reason and imagination.
