Born in Dublin, I grew up in Paris, in north-west Ireland, and in Washington DC, graduating there from the Corcoran School of Art. I've worked overseas in the Animated Film industry, returning to Ireland to raise my children. In 2015, I was longlisted for the Fish Short Story and the Fish Memoir Prize, won second place in The People's College Short Story Award, was shortlisted for the Allingham Festival Flash Fiction Award, won Highly Commended on the Books Ireland Magazine Short Story Award, was shortlisted for the Carried in Waves Short Story Prize and received Special Mention in the Galley Beggar Press Award. In 2016, I've won 2nd prize in the Bare Fiction Magazine Short Story Prize, am shortlisted for the Fish Short Story Prize, longlisted for the Fish Memoir Prize and the Colm Toibin Short Story Award, shortlisted for Cuirt New Writing Prize and published in Aesthetica 2016, The Incubator Journal and Bare Fiction Magazine. I live in North Leitrim, Ireland, with my two children.
