Phoebe Bugay is studying Spanish and philosophy at the University of Virginia. She was in the top five finalists in the 2016 Shann Palmer Poetry Contest hosted by the James River Writers and Richmond Magazine, and her creative writing continues to be published in UVA’s literary publication The Declaration. Her paintings and drawings have also appeared in art shows around Charlottesville during First Friday events. Although she spent three years living Kiev, Ukraine, she is a native of Richmond, Virginia.
