Richard Herring Richard Herring grew up in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. He explored a range of blue collar jobs in southern states before taking a different course to a 35 year career in education and a Ph.D. from Texas A&M University. He now lives and writes full time on the Florida Gulf Coast.
