Made in England - the lustrous locks are long gone.
Trained in the sciences but frustrated with writing in a cold and technical style.
Been writing short stories (flash fiction and up) for a year and trying to win a competition ever since - no luck yet. I'm putting it down to luck!
Favourite teller of short story tales is JG Ballard (especially 60s period). So imaginative in ideas and beautifully clean in prose and structure. That's what I'm aiming for - I hate pretentious, overly verbose writing.
Love to think I have a novel in me but want to improve my skills at the shorter format first.
Enjoy writing topical limericks too - working on one to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Richard Wagner..another hero of mine (musically anyway).
