While studying philosophy at DePaul University, Pearson was continually inspired by epistemological ideas, science-fiction and filmmaking. Influenced by modern philosophical thinkers, Pearson was comforted by the challenge of incorporating interesting and compelling philosophical material into fiction through short stories, screenplays, and most recently, his debut novel, Immanent Death. Pearson’s most recent screenplay, If They Fall, was chosen as a quarterfinalist in the 2013 BlueCat Screenplay Competition.
