I’m from Oak Cliff, Dallas, Texas by way of Nigeria and the Middle Passage. I received my bachelor's from Stanford University in African & African American Studies and Human Biology. I'm currently stretching my roots out in Oakland, CA, working within community to (re)connect with the land and cultural traditions. I work with the Decolonizing Wealth Project as a Program Associate, leveraging my perspective and passions to support Black and Indigenous liberation through campaigns around reparations in America, climate change action, food & land justice, and youth empowerment. As an artist and Blerd (Black nerd), I create music, poetry, performance, and visual arts inspired by Afrofuturist and Solarpunk traditions. Through these means, I hope to inspire personal and societal transformation as I continue to relate to my people among the infinite realms of possibility for our futures, in relationship with our vast histories, both on this planet and among the stars.
